At Smart African Grey Parrots, the health and well-being of our birds are our top priorities. We are committed to providing you with a happy, healthy, and well-socialized African Grey Parrot that has received the highest standards of care from hatchling to handover.

✅ 72-Hour Health Guarantee

We offer a 72-hour health guarantee on all our parrots, effective from the time the bird arrives at your home or is picked up. During this period:

  • You are encouraged to take your parrot to a certified avian veterinarian for a wellness check.

  • If the bird is found to have a life-threatening health condition (not caused by mishandling or environmental factors), we will provide a replacement parrot of equal value or offer a refund, depending on the situation.

  • A signed veterinary report must be provided within the 72-hour window for the guarantee to be honored.

Veterinary & Health Screening

Every parrot from our aviary is:

  • Vet-checked before delivery or pickup

  • Tested for common avian diseases, including Psittacosis, PBFD (Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease), and Polyomavirus

  • Fully weaned and eating independently

  • Socialized and behaviorally assessed

  • Vaccinated (if required by destination regulations)

  • Shipped with a valid health certificate issued by a licensed avian veterinarian

DNA Sexing and Documentation

On request, we can provide:

  • DNA sexing certificate

  • Hatch certificate (Date of birth)

  • Transfer of ownership documentation

Exclusions from the Guarantee

Our health guarantee does not cover:

  • Injury, illness, or death resulting from accidents, mistreatment, neglect, improper diet, exposure to other animals, or failure to follow care instructions

  • Stress-related conditions due to drastic environmental changes

  • Minor conditions treatable with routine veterinary care

Shipping Guarantee

All parrots shipped are carefully transported using climate-controlled, airline-approved carriers, and travel with:

  • Food and hydration for the journey

  • A comfort toy

  • Travel documentation and health certificate

In the rare event of a health emergency during transport, we will work closely with the shipping provider and client to determine the appropriate resolution.
